This is blackfokapparel’s first official design. it was born in September of 1998.
This design was cultivated out of necessity.
We felt it was necessary to design a piece that spoke to the plight of black folks.
At the time there were a few black urban brands doing VERY WELL but none of them had that “edge.” We decided to bring a little edginess to the masses. At that point we decided to tell “Tha Truth.” After 1/2 century of being enslaved and oppressed black folks are still standing unscathed!!
